Team TIL Take on Cash for Kids Grand Prix

The Inside Line will line up on the grid at the Radio Clyde Cash for Kids Grand Prix 2008.

The annual charity karting event will once again take place at Scotkart's Cambuslang track on December 1 in order to raise lots of money for the fantastic Cash for Kids campaign.

The event format consists of 12 teams of three drivers competing in two 75 minute Le-Mans races with the winning team the one to complete the most laps in the given time period – with stops only for driver changes and penalties.  To ensure everyone enjoys the evening there are two different races – the SUPER FUN RACE at 5.45pm for newcomers and less competitive teams looking for a fun event, and the SUPER FAST RACE at 7.45pm for more experienced, competitive teams wanting to race the cream of the Scottish motor racing world.

This year the Inside Line will have a significant presence at the popular event.  Directors Gavin Miller and Graeme Cleland will be joined by events administrator Peter Martin to form Team TIL and compete in the Super Fun Race.

In addition Scottish Legends champion 2008 and TIL client Carol Brown will take part in the Super Fast Race alongside British Touring Car ace Michael Doyle and the legendary John Smeaton.

Last year’s event raised almost £8,000, and as ScotKart donate their facilities for free of charge every penny went to Cash for Kids.  It is hoped that total will be beaten this year and every team member has to raise at least £100 in sponsorship.

If you would like to suppor The Inside Line's fundraising efforts then log on to www.justgiving.com/scotkartjohnsmeaton and give generously.  As an extra incentive the more sponsorship you raise the better your grid position at the start of the race - so please help to put Team TIL on the front row!

The driver who raises the most money will be presented with two tickets for this year’s Cash for Kids Gala Ball at the Hilton Glasgow on December 21.
