Public Relations - it's a funny old game!
What a difference a few months can make in the wacky world of sport and media.
At Rally de Portugal earlier this year, Britain’s number one rally driver Matthew Wilson took a certain FC Porto manager by the name of Andre Villas-Boas out for a spin in his M-Sport Stobart Ford Fiesta RS World Rally Car.
Fast forward three months and Villas-Boas is now one of the most talked about names in 'the beautiful game' after taking a huge step up in the world of football by signing on to become the new Chelsea FC manager.
Out of the blue this morning The Inside Line received a phone call from the Daily Telegraph asking to speak to Matthew Wilson to gauge his opinion on the new Chelsea manager.
We'll not spoil the surprise by telling you what the young Cumbrian rally star (who is a Manchester United fan) said, you can read that in the Telegraph, but we can tell you what Andre Villas-Boas thought of Matthew's driving ability.
After his passenger ride Villas-Boas remarked: “That was just incredible, I had no idea what to expect but the speed was just unbelievable.”
Now the Portuguese coach is going to be based in the UK maybe we'll see him again at Rally GB later this year...
