Mylne's new project makes a splash
The first new Mylne yacht design for thirty years has made waves in the press recently with the help of The Inside Line.
Scottish firm A.Mylne & Co. is the oldest continually designing naval architecture office in the world, and is in the process of creating a unique new vessel that will put it back at the cutting edge of international boat design.
Mylne’s latest project is a commission for a Swiss industrialist that will be worth in the region of £7million when complete, and will be designed in its offices in Limekilns on the banks of the Forth. The 36 metre (118ft) vessel will be a modern craft but featuring a classic look, and be capable of circumnavigating the world.
The Inside Line was tasked with generating awareness of this exciting new project in the mainstream press, the specialist maritime and sailing media and the worldwide community of Mylne yacht owners.
The three month campaign saw the PF-36 featured in press coverage in media outlets such as Boat International, BBC Scotland, The Daily Express, SuperYachtTimes.com, MegaYacht News, The Courier and Superyacht Design.
It also generated 735 new 'Likes' and over 50,000 views of posts on the official Mylne Facebook page.
Following the successful unveiling of PF-36, Mylne is now looking to roll out ambitious plans for new custom yachts using the company's famous design hallmarks.
