Five of the best – Sports Headlines

George Burns (14) from Mearns Castle High School is on a one week work experience placement at The Inside Line.

A keen golfer who plays off a handicap of two, when he’s not teeing off George also enjoys football and badminton.

Here he reviews his five favourite sports stories from the weekend (October 8/9):

“Woods the target of a hotdog attack” - A comical piece on the latest Tiger Woods controversy. Who thought someone could get arrested for throwing a hotdog, and why would you want to throw a hotdog in the first place?!

“Murray in a hurry” - This is a good story as the headline rhymes which immediately brings attention and the introduction explains entirely what is in the story without having to read the whole article to make sense of it.

“Clever deal” - I clicked on this due to the catchy headline on the website’s homepage, although the main article title is actually different.

“BSB - Hill claims title by 0.006s in legendary race” - Any story with the word “legendary” in the headline has got to be worth a look. Great video after the click too.

“Wade has wasps buzzing” - I just liked the pun in the headline of this one!
